Federal Section 8 Voucher Program
 

Our Federally subsidized Section 8 Program covers families, elderly and handicapped people. We have subsidy available to house families in private apartments in the Greater Fall River Area.
 


How & Where To Apply

You may apply for this program at any Housing Authority participating in the MassNAHRO Centralized Waiting List. Where you apply does not matter because all of the participating Authorities use the exact same list. Applying at the Fall River Housing Authority does not give you any advantage over those applying at a different location.

Mass NAHRO has a list of participating Authorities and a FAQ concerning the list. You may also obtain an application at this web site.

Our Tenant Selection Office also has applications on hand and will assist you in completing the application. They are open from 9am to 4pm Monday thru Friday.

Project Based Voucher
 

Presently the Fall River Housing Authority is accepting applications for Project Based Vouchers. There are currently 3 sites in Fall River, MA where these vouchers are being accepted. To obtain this application you may download it here or pick it up at 180 Morgan St, Fall River, MA.
 
Applications may be mailed to P.O. Box 989 Fall River, MA Attn: Section 8 Dept-Project Based or dropped off in person at 180 Morgan St, Fall River, MA. We have attached to the application a list of frequently asked questions which explains what this program is and how it works.

income limits for admission must not exceed these amounts:

7 People – $44,750
8 People – $47,600
 


RENTS IN THESE DEVELOPMENTS ARE BASED ON THE INCOME OF THE FAMILY OCCUPYING THE APARTMENT. RENTS ARE COMPUTED AT 30% OF THE TENANTS NET INCOME AFTER DEDUCTIONS ALLOWED BY HUD GUIDELINES.
