Adult Programs

Fall River Housing Authority partners with various agencies to provide residents with extended programs and opportunities that are essential to improve income and achieve self-sufficiency. Programs include:
Adult Education – Fall River Housing Authority partners with Bristol Community College and Ser-Jobs to offer resident Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalent Program (HSE), English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Civics Preparation, and Computer Literacy.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance – Fall River Housing Authority partners with Citizens for Citizens to provide residents with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), a service created to assist low to moderate income individuals, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English speakers file their taxes annually.
Job Training/Career Readiness – Fall River Housing Authority partners with numerous local organizations and agencies to provide a variety of job training opportunities.
Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) – FSS program helps public housing and Leased Housing residents achieve economic independence.
Financial Literacy & Seminars – Fall River Housing Authority partners Community Development Agency (CDA) and local financial institutions to provide financial services of first time home owner seminars.
