What is the Family Self Sufficiency Program?

The Fall River Housing Authority’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program helps participants work towards a path of self-sufficiency. Once a participant obtains an increase in wages an escrow account is established for them and monthly deposits are made.
FSS is a goal focused program assisting participants working on their own individualized path towards self-sufficiency. Each participant comes into the program and establishes their own set of personal goals, some of which include:
Reducing Debt and Improving Credit
Becoming a Homeowner
Participants are the head of household but can also include other members of the household. When a participant completes all of their goals and graduates from the program, they are eligible to receive the money that has been placed in the escrow savings account.
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
